It is time to pick the mangoes on our farm! If we do not pick them in time, the insects will get to them.
We have a lot of mango trees. We must work hard to pluck them all while they are ripe. We fill each basket and take them to market to earn our money.
We climb the trees and pick the mangoes one by one. Gran sits below with a basket, making sure that we are safe.
We have a mango picnic for lunch. Gran has cut them up for us. I like to chew on the skin and the seed as well.

Every mango is picked, sold, or shared. Not one dropped. Well, not one that Gran saw! We climb the big tree to rest, and the girl in yellow lies on a branch while Dog stands beside us, happy too. 'Next year,' I whisper, 'we pick even more.'
