On the right side of the image, Alex stands at the edge of a body of water on a sandy bank, holding a fishing rod with a determined expression. The outdoor scene features a hilly, tree-covered landscape under a clear blue sky with sunlit daytime lighting. Alex crafted a rod from sticks and string. She rushed to the water and smiled. 'Steve!' she called. 'Fish with me!'

On the left side of the image, Alex and Steve stand together on a sandy riverbank overlooking water below. Alex stands holding a fishing rod, looking ready to fish, while Steve stands beside her with empty hands and a neutral, slightly uncertain expression — he has no rod or supplies. The scene is set outdoors during daytime, with sunlight streaming down through a tall hillside of earth and stone behind them, and patches of grass visible along the terrain. Steve had no rod, not one bit of one. 'Go and craft one,' said Alex. 'I will fish till then.' She smiled and cast the line in the water.

On the right side of the image, Steve stands on a bright sandy beach near the water's edge, looking down at a small scattered collection of block items on the ground — a few crafting materials including what appear to be stone, sand, and ore blocks. He has a neutral, slightly disappointed expression as he surveys the meager supplies. The scene is set outdoors on a sunny day with blue sky and clouds, with ocean water and distant tree-covered islands visible in the background. Steve hunted for sticks on the sand. But the pile was not much. Just stone and a block. 'Where did it all go?' he said.

On the left side of the image, Steve stands on a sandy beach near the water's edge, looking out toward the ocean with a calm, thoughtful expression. He appears to be gazing across the water where a distant tree-covered island is visible, as if contemplating whether he needs to travel far. The scene is set outdoors on a bright, sunny day with blue skies and clear water lapping at the shoreline. The right side of the image is plain green background, clear for text.

Steve gazed at the land past the water. Lots of plants were there. Lots of sticks. But what a long swim! 'No,' he said. 'I will not swim to that land for a stick.'

On the right side of the image, Steve is walking across a grassy, open area near a village, with a few small items scattered on the ground around him. He has a determined expression as he surveys the mostly empty terrain, suggesting the crafting resources have already been gathered. Behind him on the right, a Minecraft village with stone and wooden structures sits under a bright blue sky with fluffy white clouds, and green hills roll into the background. The left side of the image is plain green background reserved for text.

Steve checked the land by the homes. Not much was there. Not one stick. Steve grunted. 'Who got all the sticks?'

Page 6
On the left side of the image, Steve stands beside a stone bin structure, leaning forward and peering inside with an eager, curious expression. Inside the bin, an old fishing rod hangs on the wall among a few other items. The scene is set outdoors on a grassy hillside with dirt and grass blocks, under a bright daytime sky. Then Steve checked an aged stone bin on the hill. A rod was in it! 'Yes!' he yelled, and lifted it up.

On the right side of the image, Steve stands outdoors in a grassy area next to a wooden and stone building, holding an old, worn fishing rod in his hand with a determined but slightly concerned expression. The rod looks weathered and fragile. The scene is set during daytime under a partly cloudy sky, with a wooden fence and rolling green hillside visible in the background. But the rod was aged. The string was thin, and the stick had a crack in it. 'It is not the best,' said Steve. 'But it is a rod.'

On the left side of the image, Steve stands in a wide, open grassy field dotted with red flowers and tall grass, looking slightly downward with a disappointed, searching expression as he wanders through the landscape. The outdoor scene is set under an overcast, cloudy sky, conveying a sense of unsuccessful searching. The right ~40% of the image is plain green background, clear for text overlay.

Steve hunted in the tall grass. He checked plant by plant. Not a thing. Mist drifted in. The sun faded. Steve longed for a fish.

On the right side of the image, Steve stands at the edge of a large rectangular hole dug into blocky, Minecraft-style dirt and earth, looking down into it with a wary, cautious expression. A broken fishing rod is visible sticking up from the bottom of the hole. Green grass borders the top edges of the pit. The left side is plain mint-green background suitable for text overlay.

Then a rod poked up from a big pit! Steve jumped in and got it. But this rod was busted too. 'Oh no,' he grunted.

It was dusk. Steve walked home with the two bad rods. He panted. What a long, long hunt. And not one fish.

A furnace sits nearby below the crafting table. The left ~40% of the image is plain mint-green background for text overlay.

Alex gazed at the aged rods. Then she smiled a big smile. 'I can fix this!' She rushed to the crafting block and blended the best bits of the two rods.

Alex held up a rod, just made. 'There, Steve! I crafted it from the two bad rods.' She smiled. 'We can fish! Best fish wins. Go!'
