Stop That Brute UFLI Foundations Lesson 58
Practice Words
A note! The Wind Princess will be in at sunrise. Kate grins and hums a glad tune.
All must help at home. They dust and mop and scrub. 'Use a mop and a rag!' yells Kate.
Kate wants Zip to help. But Zip is rude, and he will not let Kate get him.
Zip zips up fast, and Kate hangs on! 'Stop, Zip, stop!' she yells. But rude Zip will not stop.
Kate jumps on Zip and grips him. 'Do not be a brute, Zip!' she yells. She tugs him to the hill. Bump!
Kate gasps. Zip is a mess of dust and webs! 'Excuse me, Zip,' says Kate. 'This is my mess to fix.'
Kate sets Zip in the tub. 'I will use lots of suds,' she says. She scrubs and scrubs. Zip is not mad now.
Kate makes Zip shine. She hums a tune as she rubs. Zip grins a big cute grin.
Kate and Zip rise up to the stripes. They dust and dust, and Zip flicks plumes of dust in the wind.
A gust of wind hums like a flute. The Wind Princess glides in! 'It is the Wind Princess!' Kate yells.
All look up. The grand stripes shine! They hum glad tunes, and Kate grins wide.
'What a fine job!' says the Wind Princess. Kate wipes Zip with a soft cloth. 'I will not be rude, Zip,' she says. Zip winks at Kate.
