Miss Bea has a cane. Tap, tap, it goes on the wood. Three kids leap and spin by the windows. Miss Bea smiles. 'Go, go!' she calls. 'Leap high now!'
But Miss Bea has a secret. As a lass, she does her act at night, all over town. See her swing on the lamp post! The lamp glows. The clock tower stands tall behind her.
Miss Bea meets a partner. He is quick, and so is she. Both put on a grand show on the platform. Hand in hand, they glide and spin. What a team!
Miss Bea packs a case with stickers on it. Then she leaps high over the planet! She goes from town to town to put on shows. Her fame grows and grows.
Miss Bea trains hard, night after night. The moon glows low in the sky. The clock ticks on and on. 'Not yet,' she says. 'Not yet, not yet. I will not stop.'
The big night comes. Miss Bea and her partner glide in the spotlight. The crowd claps and claps. 'Wow!' the crowd yells. 'Wow, wow!'
The spotlight glows on Miss Bea. Red flowers rain down at her feet. She shuts her eyes and smiles. She is the top star in all the land.
Now Miss Bea has her own class, with three little kids in it. 'Is Miss Bea a real dancer?' asks a kid. Miss Bea winks. She taps the cane. Tap, tap!
