Oceans span the Minecraft game land. They are the big blue zones, and they are vast and deep indeed. Sail east, on and on, and you reach the sea. It gleams green and blue in the sun.
The sea splits the land into bits. Some land peeks up from the deep sea. Some small lands are just sand heaps. Some are big, and you can make a home there.
Some seas are hot and not so deep. The sea bed is sandy, and green kelp and sea grass sway in the tide. Many sea mobs live here. Tropical Fish zooms by the reef. 'This sea is sweet!' he calls. A squid drifts by him.
Chill seas are dark and deep. The sea bed has rock and dirt, not sand. Few mobs live in this dim spot. Squid drift by, and cod and other fish swim here too. The chill can not harm them at all.
Far off, some seas turn to ice. Big ice slabs float on top. The sea is freezing deep down. Just fish and squid can live there. It is bleak, but the fish do not weep.
Hot seas have reefs. A reef can be pink, red, or blue. Reefs come in many shapes. In real life, a reef is not a plant. Wee sea beasts make it! They live and grow as a team. Tropical fish sneak in and out all day.
Not all sea mobs are sweet. A grim mob with sharp spikes hunts in the deep. Get too close, and it shoots a beam at you. Zap! Drowned creep up in the deep sea, so swim fast!
Some sea mobs can be out on land for a bit. Turtle creeps up onto the beach to lay her eggs. 'The hot sand heats my eggs,' she says. A wee beast rests on the sand by her. Then they slide back into the sea.
The sea teems with life. Tropical fish, squid, and Turtle all need a clean sea to live. When the sea is clean, each reef gleams and each sea beast can thrive. The deep feels fresh and free.
The real oceans need help. Plastic trash harms the sea beasts. Too much heat can bleach a reef and kill it. A team stands on the beach and picks up the trash. Keep the sea clean and cool! We can all help the sea.
