Down in a cave, I found a glow. Green plants and moss grow low. I crept close to a small pool. An axolotl swam there, slow and cool!
I scoop it up, into the light. Out from the pool, what a sight! It sits at my feet, here on the ground. It does not swim, it makes no sound.
Back home at last! I crouch down low. My own small pond. A home to show! I hold it close. It looks around. The best new home it could have found!
The pond looks dull, so I toss moss down low. On the rock and the dirt, I watch it grow. The axolotl swims in the soft, cool flow. Now this is the best spot I know!
We go back down to the cave now. A white axolotl is here, wow! My axolotl grins at the sight. A new pal, fresh and white!
I take my new pal home, nice and slow. Both swim in the pool. What a show! Now I can breed them and watch them grow. Warm in the sun, they glow!
I grab a bucket with a fish to show. My friends will gasp, I know! The axolotl peeks from the pool. It grins at me. How cool!
They drift and flow in the pool down low. They splash and play, fast and slow. I could sit and watch them each day. The best show in town, I must say!
