I Chase Dad! UFLI Foundations Lesson 57
Practice Words
Dad is on a big bike. He rides off on the path. 'Dad! Dad!' Eve calls. Eve has just a small bike. It is not fast at all. 'I can get to Dad,' says Eve. 'I just need a fast ride.'
Eve zips off on a ride. She grips it and smiles wide. The wind whips past! But Eve wants to go fast, fast, fast. 'I need a ride with a hum and a rev,' says Eve.
Eve drives a ride. She snaps on a belt. Vroom! Then a big bus pulls up next to Eve. Eve gazes at it. 'Yes!' she says. 'I like that bus!'
Eve drives the big bus. Honk, honk! She sits up tall and smiles. Then Eve spots a big digger by the path. She stops the bus. 'That looks like fun,' says Eve.
Eve drives the digger on the grass. Chunk, chunk, chunk! But it can not go fast. A man on a jet ski waves at Eve. 'Swap with me!' yells the man. 'Yes!' yells Eve. 'It is a trade!'
Eve rides the jet ski on the waves. Splash! It is so fast, and Eve grins. Then she spots a fast ride. 'That is my next ride,' says Eve.
Eve drives the fast ride on the waves. Crash, splash! Eve hangs on and grins. Then she spots a big ship. 'Dad is on that ship,' yells Eve. 'I can tell!'
'I made it!' yells Eve. Dad is on the ship, and he smiles at Eve. He lifts Eve up to the helm. Eve grips the helm with pride and smiles wide.
Look at all the rides! A bus, a digger, a jet ski, a fast ride, and a big ship. Eve rides them all to get to Dad. What would Eve like to ride next time?
