Can a Phantom Have Pals? UFLI Foundations Lesson 50
Practice Words
I am Gus the ghost. I flit and whish on the path, but I have no pals.
Wham! The bad lot jump from the trees and yell. I am not glad.
I whizz up to the top of the trees. I see kids at play!
Whump! I drop from the tree, and the kids dash off fast.
I yell, "Stop, kids! I am not bad!" But a small dog whips off with them, and I am sad.
On a whim, I get in the nut stack at the stall. A kid walks past and misses me. Then I puff up big and drift off.
I drift up to the kids. Then whap! A cat jumps at me!
The cat swats and swats, but it whiffs. The kids grin and yell, "What a fun ghost!"
I whish and spin, and the kids run up the hill with me. Then I see a net at the top.
The kids toss me up. Boo! I'm the ball! What a shock!
Whack! A kid whaps me, but I whizz off. We win and win!
When the sun dips, the kids call to me. I am so glad, and I have pals!
