Bug grips a twig in the treetop. She is perky and glad. She has a big, big wish. Her wish is to sing!
Duck sings at the pond in the rain. Quack, quack! It is a wet and splashy song. Bug is not glad. She is picky, and she does not wish to get wet.
Frog sits at the pond and sings. Croak, croak, croak! His song is long and noisy. It runs on and on. It is too long, and Bug backs off.
Big pal sings in the lofty treetop. Her song is loud and grand! Bug claps and claps. She wishes to sing a grand song too, but she can not yet.
Sad pal sings a glum, gloomy song. It is so sad! Bug gets sad too, and wet drops drip on her chin. The song is too gloomy, so she hops off.
Crick sings a quick, catchy song. It is not too wet, not too long, and not too sad. Bug grins. Such a nifty song! Sing, Bug, sing! Just let it out!
Bug stands on a rock and sings. Peep, peep, peep! Her perky song rings out, short and sweet. It is her very own song. She is so glad. She can sing!
Bug gets all her pals to sing. At the start it is a big, noisy mix! Stop, stop! Bug lifts her arms, and the pals begin to blend. The song begins to ring.
All the pals sing as a band on the green mound. Duck sings, Frog sings, and the song rings out. Sad pal sings gladly and grins. It is such a sweet, sweet song!
At sunset, Bug sings on her mound. She sings to the dainty blooms and the rocks. Her song is short, but it is sweet. It rings on and on and on.
