The Mane Plan UFLI Foundations Lesson 68
Practice Words
Meg has a photo of Mom. Mom's hair is not long, and it is so cute. 'I want hair just like that,' says Meg. Meg has a secret plan.
Meg gets the red snips. Snip, snip, snip! Bits of hair drop and drop. 'This is basic!' says Meg with a grin.
Meg picks up the glass. 'A big moment!' says Meg. She looks into the glass. She blinks.
Oh no! The hair is a big mess. Big clumps and small clumps stick up. 'I regret this,' Meg sobs. 'But I can fix it.'
Meg tips a dish of grub on top. 'Grub can pretend to be hair,' she says. She checks the glass. The result is bad. Drip, drip, drip!
Next, Meg drapes pods on top. Just then Mom, Dad and Sis walk in. They begin to crack up. 'Stop!' Meg yells. 'It is not a joke!'
Meg piles plant bits on top and checks the glass. Dad cracks up. Sis cracks up. Even Mom cracks up. 'It is not fun!' Meg yells.
Meg runs and hides. She is silent and sad. 'Meg?' Mom calls. 'Do not hide.' 'No,' says Meg. 'This is my den.'
Mom sits with Meg. Mom has a red band. She has chosen it for Meg. She slips it on Meg's hair. Meg checks the glass. 'Oh! It is so cute!'
Meg smiles a big smile. The hair is not long, but it is cute. The final result? Meg is just Meg, and that is the best. But the next trim? Mom will do it!
