Two-syllable words where two vowels are divided into separate syllables (V/V pattern).
Alex and Steve are playing a game of tag out in a plains biome. Steve is it, so it is his turn to try to find Alex.
Alex runs off in search of a spot where Steve will not find her. She dashes past a giant tree and into the fields to hide.
Steve thinks that he will be able to find Alex, even if she has a good spot to hide in. He starts to look in the quiet grass.
Steve hears the snap of a twig as something walks in the grass. Could it be Alex so soon in the game?
It is not Alex. It is the dog that lives on the farm near this field. The dog says hello. Then it trots off quiet as can be to sniff at stinky things.
Steve can see something in the grass. Is it Alex's hair? He calls out, but it stays quiet. Steve heads in.
A cat walks out of the long grass as Steve comes near. The cat lives on the farm by the field as well. It slips off quiet to find its friend the dog.
Steve finds a giant hole in the field where someone dug for coal. Is Alex down there? It would be a good spot to hide in.
It is not Alex at all. It is just a hen that has lost its way. Steve creates a ramp for the hen to get out of the hole.
Steve is getting a bit mad. He has not seen a hint of Alex all over the fields. Did she go home and not tell him? He sits down, quiet and glum.
Then Steve sees a leg behind a tree. It is Alex being sneaky, trying to dart off to a new spot. She has been around this whole time!
Steve walks with quiet steps. He gets behind the tree and tags Alex. Then he is off! Now Alex will have to find Steve.
