Puppy's Birthday (Suffix)

This is Kara, and this is her puppy Pip. Pip is a smart and funny dog who loves to play! She spends all day with him, and they have such fun. Kara wants to do something good for Pip.

Kara asks her mum what she should do for Pip. 'He will be one year old tomorrow,' says her mum. 'We should have a birthday party for Pip!' says Kara. Pip hears this, and gets very excited.

Kara and her mother go to town to prepare for the party. Pip wants to prepare, too! He is so excited to have a birthday. He will invite all of his friends!

Pip leaves the house to go look for them. He finds her bird friends in a tree. 'Would you like to come to my birthday party?' he asks. 'We would love to come!' the birds say.

Pip finds his rabbit friends in the garden. 'Would you like to come to my party?' he asks them. 'We will be there too,' says the birds. 'Rabbits love a party!' say the rabbits.

The birds, the rabbits and Pip all went to the pond. Pip has turtle friends as well! 'Would you like to come to the party?' Pip asks them. 'We sure would!' say the turtles.

Soon the tree, the garden and the pond are empty. The birds, rabbits, and turtles all go to the house! 'It's party time,' says Pip! They all can't wait!

Kara and her mother come back from town. They have a big cake for Pip! 'Pip will be so surprised,' Kara says. 'I can't wait to show him the cake!'

But it is Kara who is surprised. Pip and all of his friends are in the living room! They are ready for the party! 'Wow, look at how many friends you have!' says Kara.

The birthday party is so fun! Pip and his friends have a great time. 'Happy birthday, Pip!' says Kara. Pip can't wait to eat his cake!
