On the right side of the image, Skel and Zom stand together inside a warmly lit brick house. Skel stands slightly in front, facing the viewer with a proud, satisfied expression, his wooden brown bow slung over his shoulder. Zom stands just behind and to the right, also facing forward with a grumpy, displeased expression, arms crossed. The indoor scene features hanging lanterns, a wooden table or shelf with books, brick walls, and glowing floor lights, giving the room a cozy, warm ambiance. The left side of the image is plain background suitable for text overlay.

Skel loved his brick house more than anything in the world. Each morning, he cleaned the floors and dusted the shelves all the way up to the ceiling. He lined his books up in a straight, neat row. 'A clean house is a happy house,' said Skel with pride. Zom crossed his arms and grunted. 'Dirt is fine by me.'

Page 2
Jack stands on the left side of the image, facing forward with a carefree grin, shrugging with both orange mitten-like hands raised palm-up in an exaggerated 'who cares?' gesture. His jack-o'-lantern head displays a wide jagged smile. The scene is set indoors in what appears to be a messy room with wooden shelving and block-built walls, with warm lighting suggesting daytime. The right side of the image is plain background, clear for text overlay.

Jack was even worse than Zom when it came to cleaning. Skel handed him a mop. Jack dropped it with a clang. Skel handed him a cloth. Jack dropped that one too. Then Jack shrugged his big orange hands and grinned, like he had just done something very clever. 'Cleaning,' said Jack, 'is weird. It is really not my kind of thing.'

On the right side of the image, Skel stands with a frustrated, angry expression β€” mouth set in a flat frown and dark, annoyed eye sockets β€” gripping a broom tightly in both rounded hands, held upright like a weapon, as if he has stopped mid-sweep in defiance. His oversized round cream-white skull and small white dot pupils convey determination. The scene is set indoors against a warm yellow background, with dark reddish-brown block-style brick walls and grimy, muck-covered flooring suggesting a Minecraft-inspired aesthetic.

Skel looked at the sticky counters. He looked at the muddy boot prints on the floor. He looked at the pile of crumbs where Jack had been eating toast over the rug. Again. Skel gripped his broom so tight his knuckles went whiter than his skull. 'Fine,' Skel said. 'You two are weirdly allergic to cleaning? Then I am done cleaning for you. Good luck on your own.'

On the left side of the image, Jack stands in the foreground with a relaxed, laid-back pose, one orange mitten-like hand behind his jack-o'-lantern head, grinning wide. Just behind and to the right of Jack, Zom sits casually on the grass, leaning back on his hands with a contented grin, his pixelated light-green sword resting on the ground beside him. They appear calm and at ease together, enjoying doing nothing. The scene is set outdoors in a suburban backyard-style area with a wooden fence, green grass, and earthy terrain, under bright daytime lighting. The right ~40% of the image is plain pale-yellow background with no detail.

Zom and Jack watched Skel march right out the door. They looked at each other. They looked at the sunny yard outside. 'No more sweeping!' yelled Jack. 'No more scrubbing!' yelled Zom. They flopped onto the grass and kicked back like kings. No chores to do all day. No Skel fussing at them. Life felt weirdly great, just the two of them.

On the right side of the image, Zom stands in front of a wooden house, viewed from a low angle looking up. Zom has a wide, open-mouthed grin showing his small smiling mouth stretched wide, arms relaxed at his sides, appearing cheerful and completely unbothered. He wears his orange-and-red horizontally striped t-shirt with dark green pants and bright green shoes. Thick muck and grime is visible on the ground around his feet and along the base of the house. The scene is outdoors in daytime with blue sky and clouds visible behind the house's wooden roof overhang. The left side is plain yellow background, clear for text overlay.

Day one, a sock got stuck to the floor. No big deal at all. Day two, something in the kitchen started to smell weird. Zom gave it a sniff and shrugged. By day three, the muck was so thick you could leave footprints right in it. Zom looked down at the grime oozing around his shoes and grinned a big grin. 'Still fine by me!' he said.

Page 6
The image shows an interior scene of a dimly lit, run-down house viewed at a low angle across a dark, grimy floor. On the right side, sticky patches and holes are visible on the worn floorboards, with warm light glowing from a doorway or window in the background, highlighting the neglected state of the home. Several small silverfish-like insects are scattered across the floor in the center-right area, with more flicking past in motion. The left ~40% of the image is plain yellow-cream background reserved for text overlay.

It was not fine at all. The sticky floors got stickier. Then they got... crunchy. Strange little shapes skittered in the shadows. Tiny legs tapped across the floorboards in the dark. Silverfish! Eight of them, then more, then way too many to count. They poured through the muck like it was a busy road.

The image is rendered in a Minecraft-style blocky/voxel art style, viewed from a high angle looking down into a kitchen interior. On the right side of the image, Zom is standing on the kitchen floor, reaching toward the counter with an eager but dismayed expression, his light green skin and darker green messy hair visible from above. He wears his orange-and-red horizontally striped t-shirt. The kitchen has wooden cabinets mounted on the walls, a countertop with a pie sitting on it, and a glowing lantern providing warm light. Multiple flies buzz thickly around the pie and the room β€” small dark buzzing creatures swarming between Zom and his lunch. The scene is set indoors in a cozy, warmly lit kitchen. The left ~40% of the image is plain pale yellow background reserved for text.

Zom's tummy rumbled really loud. He reached for the last slice of pie sitting on the counter. Bzzzzz. Flies! A thick, buzzing cloud of them sat right between Zom and his lunch. He reached again. The flies swarmed closer and closer. He lunged forward. But the flies got there first and seized the pie. 'Hey!' Zom yelled. 'That is my pie, not yours!'

Page 8
On the left side of the image, Jack stands inside a wooden house, stepping backward with arms outstretched in a startled, frightened pose, his jack-o'-lantern face showing wide carved eyes. He had been picking up cloths from the floor when dark bugs rushed out from a crack in the wall. Dark spiders and bugs crawl rapidly across the floor and furniture around him, emerging from a visible crack in the wooden wall or floorboards. The indoor scene features wooden plank walls, a hardwood floor with a rug, shelves, and a glowing jack-o'-lantern lantern on a table, giving the room a warm, cozy glow. The right ~40% of the image is plain pale yellow background.

Jack finally picked up the pile of clothes he had left on the floor for eight long days. Something moved underneath, something dark with a weirdly large number of legs. Spiders poured out of the crack in the wall and seized their chance to swarm across the floor. Jack stumbled backward, his arms flailing in the air. 'Nope, nope, nope, nope,' he yelled loudly.

Page 9
On the right side of the image, inside a warm, lantern-lit indoor room with wooden walls and floors rendered in a blocky Minecraft-style aesthetic, two small pets β€” one dark-furred and one lighter β€” are positioned on and near a wooden shelf or counter in the upper-right corner, looking down with alert, determined expressions as they track the pests below. Scattered across the floor beneath them are several small, pale bug-like pests swarming thickly, with a large, brightly colored neon pink-and-cyan pest resembling a sprawling insect or spider-like creature dominating the center-right of the floor. The bugs clearly outnumber and overwhelm the two small pets. The left ~40% of the image is plain pale yellow background reserved for text.

Zom and Jack let the pets in to help. The pets tried their best. They pounced. They chased. They swatted. But for every bug they caught, ten more appeared. Silverfish on the shelves. Flies in the food. Spiders in the socks. One huge, bright pink creepy crawly sat right in the middle of the floor like it owned the whole place. Zom and Jack looked at each other with wide eyes. 'We need Skel,' they said. 'Right now.'

Page 10
On the left side of the image, Skel stands in the center facing the viewer with a confident grin, his oversized round cream-white skull and small white dot pupils conveying determination. He holds his wooden brown bow in one hand. To Skel's left, Zom stands with a sheepish but ready expression, wearing his orange-and-red horizontally striped t-shirt and dark green pants, gripping his pixelated light-green sword. To Skel's right, Jack stands with his large orange jack-o'-lantern head and dark brown body suit, one orange mitten-like hand raised in a fist of resolve. All three face the viewer in a united, determined lineup. The scene is set in a warmly lit indoor room with wooden cabinets and a lantern hanging above. The right ~40% of the image is plain pale background with no detail.

Skel stood in the doorway, bow gripped in his hand, grinning the biggest grin his skull had ever grinned. 'So,' he said slowly. 'Dirt is fine, is it?' Zom stared at his shoes. Jack stared at the ceiling. 'I will help,' said Skel. 'But from now on, we all clean. No slacking. Deal?' Zom grabbed his sword. Jack raised a fist. And neither of them dropped a thing.
