Not One Calls Back UFLI Foundations Lesson 63
Practice Words
Player walks up a dim path. He gazes at the huts by the path. All the huts are dim, and no one is there. 'Hello?' calls Player. No one talks back.
A big mob stands on the path. It is still as stone. Vines and mosses are on its legs. Player gazes up at it. 'I am brave,' he says. But he says it soft.
A cat walks up the path. But it is a ghost cat! Player can see the huts in it! Player winces and steps back. 'That is fine,' he says. 'I am still brave.'
Player checks all the huts. He checks the chests and the benches. No one is there. Not one. The huts are still lit. Where did they all go?
Rain splashes down and drenches Player. A big snake lifts up by a hut. It gazes down at him. 'Still brave,' says Player. But his legs step back, back, back.
Zombie Villager rushes at Player on the path. Player faces it and grabs his bow. 'I am brave,' says Player. 'And this is the end.'
Bang! The shot hits, and Zombie Villager drops flat. But then a ghost lifts up from it! The ghost hisses at Player. 'Oh no!' yells Player. 'It will not stop!'
Ghost Villagers stand in the white plants. Masses of them! They all gaze at Player. Ghost Cat sits by his legs. 'I am brave,' says Player. 'And the brave one runs!' He dashes off fast.
