Jaws and Claws

A loud roar! We saw so many kinds of dinosaurs.

Big jaws or small jaws, they did not all look the same.

Some would hunt in a pack with sharp claws. They would work as a group.

Some would hunt with no pals. They did not like to share. They ate raw meat.

Some had long necks and tails. At dawn they ate leaves from the trees.

Some were small, but they were fast and had sharp claws.

Dinosaurs that ate plants would gnaw and graze all day, like cows.

Some trotted past on two legs. Their tails stayed taut behind them. Their small paws reached out in front.

Some went on four legs but could stand up and use their front paws to grasp.

Some went on two legs. Their short arms could grip, and their jaws were strong.

From their claws and jaws, we can guess how they lived.

Give a roar for dinosaurs! They all fill us with awe.
