Give Me a Drop! UFLI Foundations Lesson 62
Practice Words
Max is on the land. It is not wet at all. Max has a rain chant. 'Come, rain!' he calls up. He hopes it will come this time.
Max steps on the path and calls up with a yell. 'Come to me, rain! Drip, drop, splash!' A wisp glides by. It will not stop for Max.
Thump, thump, thump! Max spins to look. A huge pal is on the path. 'I am Gus!' he says with a grin. 'I like that song. Can I sing it?'
Max is glad. 'Yes, Gus! Sing with me!' Max and Gus chant and stomp on the sand. The land shakes as Gus sings. 'Come, rain, come! Fall on this land!'
A black mass comes in fast. Zap! A flash hits the land. Drip, drop! 'Gus!' Max yells. 'It came! The rain came!'
The rain falls and falls. Max grips his hat and smiles. Gus stomps in a wet spot and sings. Max and Gus dance and dance. 'We made it rain!' they yell.
