Just three colors can make a whole lot more. They are called the primary colors. Red, blue, and yellow are primary.

Red is a strong, powerful color. We call it a hot color. Think of hot, red things like lava.

Yellow is a warm color, too. It is more moderate. Think of warm things like the sun on a pleasant day.
