Careful at the Harvest Jolly Phonics · Group 7: ar /ar/
Practice Words
Harvest starts in the garden. I look up at the big mango tree, and the dog looks up with me.
I lift a fat sack up on top. It is hard, but I do not drop it.
Max darts up the tree and grabs three. A mango slips! Don't drop it, Max! Gran gets it in her basket.
Gran cuts up the mango, and we sit for a snack. Max chomps a big part, and I suck the seed.
Pals are in the garden to help. A pal grins at us, and the dog barks and barks.
I tie the basket to a cord, a smart plan! A pal grabs it, and the kids sort the rest.
Dad and I are at the market. A man picks the best mango, not a mark on it!
We load a boat and float to the next market. It rocks! Sit, Max! Don't drop that mango!
The harvest ends, and we rest up in the tree. The dog wags his tail. It is fun on the farm!
