Can You Tell Yet? UFLI Foundations Lesson 55
Practice Words
This is Sam. Sam has a big book and a wide smile. 'Guess what I drew!' says Sam. It is his best game.
It is game time! Sam grips his pencil. He makes a big shape, and a set of small shapes on top.
Look at that! It looks like it can blink at us. Is it a frog? Not quite! Sam just smiles.
Sam takes his time. Line by line, he fills the big shape in black. He does not rush. It is all inside the lines.
Next, Sam adds a box shape. A box? That is quite odd! Sam smiles a wide smile. 'Not yet!' he says.
Now it has legs! A set on this side, and a set on that side. The sides match just fine. Sam nods.
Sam checks a pic, then he adds a big, wide grin. Is it a cat with that grin? Sam hides a smile. 'No, not a cat!'
Sam lifts his pencil up. He grins a big grin. 'Just a bit more,' he says. 'Then it is time!'
Sam adds the last bit. Now it can wag! What pet wags like that? Can it be...
'It is a dog!' yells Sam. What a fine dog! See the small lines? That is his fuzz. 'I like this dog best of all,' says Sam.
'Now take my pencil,' says Sam. Go step by step, line by line. Then lift it up and yell, 'Guess what I drew!'
