Can Pang Do This? UFLI Foundations Lesson 64
Practice Words
Pang was up on the stage with his stick. He was named the boss of the big concert. 'Can I do this?' he said.
The bugs sang, but it was a mess. One bug buzzed and buzzed by the stand. 'Stop this fuss!' Pang yelled. 'We have to sing well!'
One bug sang a soft, soft song. 'Sing it big, pal!' called Pang. The bug gazed up at Pang and said, 'I will do my best.'
'All bugs to the stage!' Pang called. The bugs landed on the stage by the big plant. 'This is the last test,' said Pang.
Pang lifted his stick, and the bugs sang. The song drifted up past the plants. 'That was so fine!' said Pang, and he smiled.
The sun set, but Pang could not rest in his bed. A bug shined soft by the wall. 'What if I mess it up?' Pang asked his bug doll.
The sun blazed, and it was hot and dry. Lots of bugs strolled in for the concert. 'Who is the boss?' asked a bug.
Pang waved his stick and yelled, 'One, two, sing!' The bugs sang and sang. The song was strong and fine.
Drip, drip! Rain fell at the dry concert. It misted up Pang's glasses, and the song faded. 'No, no, no!' said Pang.
The bugs longed to run home. But Pang braved the rain and lifted off the stage. 'Bugs, look up at me!' he called.
'This rain will stop,' said Pang. 'Sing on!' The bugs clapped and chanted, 'Sing, sing, sing!' So the bugs sang on.
The rain ended, and the bulbs shined on the big plant. 'Best concert yet!' the bugs yelled. Pang smiled a big, big smile.
