Sloth is sitting on the ground on the right side of the image, leaning back against a blue-gray rock with mouth wide open in a big yawn, one paw raised near their face. They hold a small leafy twig in their other paw and look exhausted and sleepy. The outdoor scene features flat ground with small tufts of grass, a couple of tall trees in the background, and a large blank cream area on the left for page text.

Sloth is so sleepy. Not just a little sleepy. His arms feel weak, his legs feel weak, and his lids will not stay up. 'I need a nap,' he sighs, with his mouth open wide. 'Not just any nap. The best nap yet. All I need is the right spot. A new spot. A true nap spot.'

Page 2
On the left side of the image, Sloth is climbing up the trunk of a tall tree, gripping it with all four limbs and looking upward with a content, curious expression. The tree has a few green leafy branches extending from the top. The outdoor scene shows a grassy ground with small rocks, set against a bright daytime sky with a couple of small clouds. The composition is framed within a circular vignette.

Sloth spots a lofty tree with a lot to grip. 'It is true,' he says. 'This tree is the one.' He grips the trunk and starts to creep up. Slow. Very, very slow. That is how a sloth must go. But he has hope, and a big dream: the best nap ever.

Page 3
On the right side of the image, Sloth hangs upside down from a curved tree branch, clinging on with all four paws and looking content with half-closed, sleepy eyes and a gentle smile. The tree has a prominent curve in its trunk with radiating lines suggesting it's the "right spot." The scene is set outdoors against a soft green oval backdrop with simple leaf and cloud shapes, giving a peaceful, restful mood.

Soon Sloth finds a branch with a fine bend in it. Like a little wood bed. He hangs down from it and hooks on with all four feet. 'This is it,' he sighs. 'This is the true spot. No bad thing will come.' He shuts his lids. He should not say that.

Page 4
On the left side of the image, Sloth hangs from a tree branch with a startled, pained expression, eyes wide open in shock. Patches of green moss are visible on Sloth's dark brown fur, resembling leaves. Giraffe's head reaches up into the tree from below with eyes closed and mouth open, biting at Sloth's mossy fur, clearly having mistaken Sloth for a leafy snack. Green foliage surrounds the tree, with the right side of the image left as plain white background for page text.

Ow! A big, wet mouth grabs Sloth's back. He looks up. Giraffe is chewing on him. 'Stop that,' Sloth yells. 'I am not food!' But the green moss on Sloth's fur does look a lot like leaves. Giraffe has one more chew, just to check. 'Not food,' Sloth yells, and he creeps up higher. So much for that spot.

Sloth is on the right side of the image, clinging to a tree branch with a content, sleepy smile, looking relaxed and ready to settle in for a nap. Patches of green moss are still visible on Sloth's dark brown fur. Sloth hugs the trunk with all four limbs, nestled against the bark with green leaves sprouting around the branches. Small butterflies and insects flutter in the open space to the left, and radiating lines around Sloth suggest a sense of satisfaction at having found the perfect spot. The scene is outdoors in a bright, simple setting with a clean white background on the left side.

Sloth finds a new branch, high up, far from Giraffe. He hugs the trunk and grins. A cool wind drifts by. Dew shines on the leaves. 'Now this is the spot,' he says. 'No Giraffe. No chewing. Just peace and quiet and the best nap yet. No bad thing will come.' He shuts his lids. He must stop saying that.

On the left side of the image, Sloth hangs upside down from a tree branch, gripping with all four paws, wearing a sleepy and unamused expression. Patches of green moss cling to Sloth's dark brown fur. A large beehive dangles from the same branch just to Sloth's right, with several bees buzzing around in the air nearby. The outdoor scene features green foliage in the background, composed within an oval vignette that leaves the right side open as plain background.

Mandatory correction: Sloth has exactly four connected limbs and four paws gripping the branch. No fifth paw, extra limb or detached paw. Preserve upside-down pose, sleepy face, moss, hive, bees and open right text area.

Buzz, buzz! A hive. A big, lumpy, humming hive hangs from the very same branch. One bee lands on Sloth's nose. Then one more on his cheek. Then a few more on his belly. 'I will just go,' Sloth says, and he lets go one foot at a time. 'It is a very fine hive. Do not sting me!'

On the right side of the image, Sloth is clinging to a tree trunk, hugging it with all four limbs wrapped around the base, looking upward with a curious, cautious expression. Patches of green moss cling to Sloth's dark brown fur. A tail — belonging to Snake — is visible draped along a branch above, with small radiating lines drawing attention to it, matching the text's clue about spotting "a tail on the branch." The scene is set outdoors against a plain white background with light green foliage accents on the left.

Higher up, Sloth hugs the trunk and peers up. A long, thin thing hangs down from the next branch. Sloth looks hard. 'Is that a tail?' It is a tail. And a tail is a clue: some beast is up there. 'Who is there?' he calls. 'Who has that tail? A nice tail? A sleepy tail? A do-not-eat-me tail?'

Page 8
On the left side of the image, Sloth clings to a tree branch with a shocked, wide-eyed, open-mouthed expression, looking alarmed. Patches of green moss cling to Sloth's dark brown fur. Snake is coiled tightly around the same branch near Sloth, hissing loudly with mouth open showing fangs and pink forked tongue flicking out — "Ssssss!" sound effects surround the scene. The setting is outdoors among tree branches with soft green foliage in the background. The right side of the image is plain white background.

Hiss! Snake pops up and puts his face right by Sloth's face. Fangs out. 'Mine!' Snake yells. 'This branch is mine! Go and seek a new spot!' 'All right, all right!' Sloth squeaks, and up he goes, fast. Fast for a sloth, that is.

Page 9
On the right side of the image, Sloth clings to the lower trunk of a large tree, eyes nearly shut and wearing a drowsy, exhausted expression, reaching upward toward a free branch. Patches of green moss cling to Sloth's dark brown fur. Bird perches on an upper branch above, looking down at Sloth alertly with small yellow radiance lines around its head. The empty branch between them glows with radiating lines, highlighting it as the promising free spot. The scene is set outdoors against a soft green background suggesting leafy surroundings.

Sloth can not keep his lids up. His feet hurt. He hurts from tip to tail. His nap is long past due. Up there, a bird sits on a branch. But the branch just below it is empty. Empty and fine. 'Let this be the spot,' Sloth says. 'I will not even say it. No bad thing will... no. I will not say it. I just want to sleep.'

Page 10
On the left side of the image, Sloth hangs upside down from a tree branch, clinging with all four paws and looking annoyed and frustrated, with furrowed brow and one eye half-open. Patches of green moss cling to Sloth's dark brown fur. Bird is perched on a branch directly above Sloth, head tilted back and short orange beak open wide, cawing loudly — "Haw-haw!" sound effects surround the scene. The setting is outdoors in a tree with green leaf patches in the background, and the right portion of the image is open background space.

Bird tips that little beak up at the sky and yells, on and on and on. Sloth hangs there with one lid shut. 'Bird,' he asks, 'is it like this all day?' Bird just continues. 'I will take that as a yes,' sighs Sloth.

Page 11
On the right side of the image, Sloth is clinging near the top of a tall tree trunk, hugging it with all four limbs and wrapping their tail around it. Patches of green moss cling to Sloth's dark brown fur. Sloth has a content, peaceful smile with eyes closed, looking fully relaxed and settled in for a nap at last. The outdoor scene features soft green hills in the background with simple outlined clouds in the sky, giving a peaceful daytime feeling. The left side of the image is open plain background.

One spot is left. The very tip top. Sloth creeps up with hope and with big dreams. He hugs the trunk with all four feet. He curls his tail. He tucks in, snug in the cool green leaves. No Giraffe. No bees. No Snake. No Bird. Just the wide blue sky, and quiet. Sloth shuts his lids. And now he keeps them shut.

Page 12
On the left side of the image, a large tree stands on a grassy hill. Sloth is perched at the very top of the tree, eyes closed and sleeping peacefully with "ZZZ" floating above, patches of green moss visible on their dark brown fur. Bird stands on a middle branch with wings slightly raised and small yellow radiance lines around its head. Snake is coiled around a lower branch, resting with a relaxed expression. Giraffe stands at the base of the tree on the left, looking up at the full tree with a calm expression. A small beehive hangs from a branch on the right side of the tree, with a few bees buzzing nearby. The outdoor scene shows a nighttime landscape with a few smaller trees in the background and soft clouds in the sky. The right side of the image is plain white background.

And so the tree fills up for the night. Sloth snoozes at the very top. Bird sits in the middle, quiet at last. Snake coils below, at peace. And Giraffe stands at the bottom, looking up with a long face. 'Where can I nap?' asks Giraffe. Nobody answers. They are all asleep. Well. All but a few bees.
