Practice Words
Pip has an old pic. It is Mum! Mum's hair is short in the pic. 'Mum looks so bright and glad!' says Pip. 'I wish my hair was short like that. I might fix it. I have a plan!'
Pip grabs the red snips. Snip, snip, snip! Bits fly up high. Pip grins. 'This is fun!'
Pip lifts the glass up high. 'Time to see!' she says. 'What a sight it might be!' She looks. She blinks. She gasps!
Oh no! What a sight! Pip's hair sticks out in clumps. Big clumps, wee clumps. Pip might cry. 'It is so bad!' she wails. 'I can fix this.'
Pip gets a dish with long food in it. 'This looks like hair!' She tips it on her top. Drip, drip, drip! Pip peeks in the glass and sighs. It is a messy sight.
'This might fix it!' says Pip. She drapes green beans on her top. Mum, Dad and Sis come in. They are in fits! 'It is not a joke!' Pip yells.
'One last try,' Pip sighs. She piles green leaves up high on her top. Dad is in fits. Sis grins and grins. Mum is in fits too! 'Do not grin at me!' Pip wails.
Pip hides by the big red couch. She is shy and sad. She might cry. 'Pip,' Mum calls. 'Come out, Pip.' 'No,' says Pip. 'I hide here.'
Mum sits with Pip on the couch. She slips a red band on Pip's hair. Then Mum lifts up the glass. Pip looks. She blinks. What a sight! Pip looks so bright!
Pip smiles a big smile. Short hair, red band. What a fine sight! Pip is as bright as sunlight. But next time, Mum can trim her hair!
