The Sad Girl's Song UFLI Foundations Lesson 47
Practice Words
Liv is sad at the sill. The flute thrums a sad song.
The notes go up in the wind. They thrum past the twigs.
Green drops drip from the notes. The mist gets thick and damp.
Rain drips on the rabbits. The drops thump, thump on the wet grass.
Bell is damp and sad. The sad song throbs and throbs. "Go, Bee, go!" says Bell.
Bee zips up to Pip, and the sad song drifts past them. Buzz, buzz!
Pip lands on a twig by Brown Rabbit. "Dash up the path, Brown Rabbit!" says Pip.
Brown Rabbit runs up the path. Liv sobs at the sill, so sad.
The pals rush to Liv. Black Rabbit jumps up with a thump. Liv grins and hugs them.
The sun is up, and Liv sits snug with the pals. What a thrill!
