The Cursed Emerald Part 1 UFLI Foundations Lesson 59
Practice Words
Chink, chink! I dig in the dim cave. Then a jade flash! An emerald shines in the wall. I gaze at it.
Hiss! A mob! Bang! The blast makes the cave shake. I look at the emerald. A jade flame is lit in it.
I blink. I am not in the cave. I am on grass, in the dark. I check my kit. It is fine. The emerald still shines.
Twang! A bone man takes a shot at me. I swing my blade. Smash! A small lit ball rises from the grass.
A big bug is at my back. A bone man, and a small mob on a hen! I do not like this. I run fast. Cluck, cluck, cluck!
I jump in and swim. The mob stands on the land. It can not swim fast. I glide off in the tide. I am safe.
I swim a mile. The plants are thick and the vines hang low. Then I see a small home. I hope it is safe. I swim fast to it.
I wake up. The sun shines in. The emerald is still lit, with a small jade flame in it. I smile. I like this emerald. 'Where to next?' I ask.
