Not My Bake Shop UFLI Foundations Lesson 72
Practice Words
Tom has a bakery in Canville. He bakes the best buns in all the land. Most of them get sold fast. Tom is so glad.
At sunup, Tom, Jill and the Mage find the golem smashed to bits. What a mess! 'This is so bad,' says Jill. 'Who did this unkind thing?'
At dusk, Tom can't rest. 'How do the wild mobs get in?' he asks. 'The golems can hold them back,' says Dr. Can Do. 'Be bold, Tom. Do not fuss.'
Tom is in bed, but he can't unwind. His mind is on the wild mobs. They creep and creep, and then... bang! 'Not my bakery,' says Tom. 'Not my bakery.'
Bang! Tom bolts from his bed. He finds his bakery in flames. He is so mad. 'That is it!' Tom yells. 'I must pack up and go!'
Jill is kind. 'Do not go, Tom. We must have the bakes!' 'What if we set up a wall on all sides?' says Dr. Can Do. Tom makes up his mind. 'So be it. But help me fix my bakery.'
The wall goes up, stone by stone. It winds on all sides of Canville. 'Behold!' says the Mage. 'No wild mob can get past this stronghold!'
Tom's new bakery is the best yet. Jill sets gold and red plants by it. 'All the land can find the bakes,' says Jill. Tom grins. 'And no wild mobs can get in!'
