Practice Words
Kate hangs, and the locks drop. She grabs a lock and stretches it. Snap! It springs back. 'Curly locks are the best,' says Kate.
She has locks that are not bent. The locks spill flat and sunlit. The locks do not budge. 'Not bent is best,' she says.
Kate pats the cat and scratches it on the chin. The cat has a bent back bit. All the living things have bent back bits. 'See?' says Kate. 'Curly is best!'
Then Kate sees a batch of big living things. Their back bits hang flat and not bent. The back bits do not twitch and do not budge. 'So nice,' says Kate with a grin.
Kate clutches the side and walks up the steps. The steps bend and twist, up and up. 'Curly steps are the best steps,' says Kate.
Kate sits and thinks. The cat nudges Kate and rests, bent up like a bun. 'Is curly the best all the time?' asks Kate. 'Yes. Yes, it is.'
There is a pic in a frame on the wall. In it, Kate is on top of a big hill. The path bends up the ridge, twist by twist. 'The bent path is the best path,' says Kate.
Kate sketches lines on the paper. She wants flat lines, but the lines zigzag and smudge. 'This is fine,' says Kate. But she is a bit mad.
Then Kate sketches bent lines. They swing and spin, like vines. 'See?' says Kate. 'Bent lines are a snap. This is a topnotch sketch!'
Kate sees two big snacks. They are bent, like big shells. The cat hides in back of one and licks and licks. 'Stop, cat!' says Kate with a grin. 'Do not snatch my snack!'
Kate sees a batch of three bent buns. She gazes and gazes at them. She has to judge the best bun. 'I can not pick,' says Kate.
Kate checks the stacks of snacks. Bent snacks and flat snacks sit in one big batch. 'Fine,' says Kate with a grin. 'Not bent snacks are fine. I can fetch them all!'
