A vast Minecraft ocean biome scene shown in a split cross-section view, with a pale sky and pink-tinged clouds in the upper right above the waterline and bright blue water below. The left half of the underwater area is open, lighter blue water, while the water deepens to darker blue toward the right edge. In the centre, colourful blocky coral formations β€” pink, red, teal, and yellow β€” rise from the ocean floor along with kelp and sea plants. Two cheerful snorkelling children swim just right of centre among rising bubbles: a dark-skinned child with curly brown hair wearing a yellow mask and snorkel, yellow top, green shorts, and green flippers, and a light-skinned child with orange hair wearing a blue mask, blue shorts, and blue flippers, one arm outstretched. A pixelated wave border runs along the bottom edge of the image.

Oceans cover more than half of the whole Minecraft world. In fact, the geography of this place is mostly water. Oceans are the biggest biomes in the game. If you sail far enough in any direction, you will always find an ocean. Above the waves, the atmosphere is bright and the clouds look pink.

A small sandy Minecraft-style island surrounded by vast ocean water, viewed from a slight distance to emphasise isolation. The island juts up from the deep blue sea with just a seam of beach and sand visible. Misty, overcast skies stretch across the background, creating a sense of scale. A small purple coral or crystal formation is visible in the bottom-left corner near the water's edge. The right side of the image is dominated by a large expanse of deep blue ocean, providing clear space for text overlay. No characters are present in the scene.

Oceans split the big land into separate chunks. Where land pokes above the waves, islands pop up. Some islands are tiny, just a few blocks of sand. Others are big enough to build a home on. A cartographer could fill a whole map with all these little islands in the deep blue sea.

Page 3
An underwater ocean scene in Minecraft style, with kelp forests and bubbles visible in the deep blue water on the left side. On the right side of the image, colourful coral reefs and seagrass cover the sandy ocean floor. Small blocky tropical fish weave between the coral formations, and a squid drifts in the mid-water. The scene is bright and sunlit from above, with vibrant coral reefs and aquatic vegetation filling the frame, depicting a warm sea teeming with life.

Lukewarm oceans are warm, shallow, and full of life. The sandy floors are covered in thick seagrass and kelp. Almost every ocean mob can live here. Tropical fish dart between the bright coral, and a squid drifts in the calm water above. This reef is a phenomenal, busy place.

An underwater scene in a Minecraft cold ocean biome, viewed from beneath the surface on the left side of the image. Tall green kelp plants rise from a sea bed of gravel and dirt on the left, with a cod fish swimming among the kelp fronds and a salmon visible further back in the murky water. A squid drifts in the mid-distance. The water is a cool blue-green with dim light filtering down from the surface above, creating a bleak, cold atmosphere. The right side of the image is covered by a plain dark blue overlay panel for text placement.

Cold oceans are much darker and deeper than lukewarm ones. The sea floor is covered in gravel and dirt instead of sand. Fewer mobs can live down here. Cod, salmon, and squid do not mind the chilly water at all. Everyone else would say phew, this water is far too cold for me.

Page 5
A frozen ocean scene rendered in a Minecraft-style blocky aesthetic, with large angular chunks of blue-white ice scattered across the landscape. On the right side of the image, a squid with dark tentacles floats near the icy water's surface, while a small salmon swims just beneath it. The environment is bright and cold, with pale icy terrain and frozen water stretching into the distance, conveying a bleak, dead-cold atmosphere where not much can survive.

Frozen oceans lie in the coldest parts of the Minecraft world, where the water is locked in its frozen phase. Big chunks of ice float on top. The sea below is icy cold. Only salmon and squid can live in these freezing waves. Nothing else can handle the deep chill. The ice stretches as far as you can see, white and still under a pale sky.

A vibrant underwater coral reef scene rendered in a Minecraft-style blocky aesthetic. On the left side, large peach and pink coral structures rise up in great heaps, surrounded by clusters of blue and purple coral formations at the base. Small blocky tropical fish weave past each clean, bright mound of coral. The scene is set in a shallow, sunlit ocean with a bright sky visible above the waterline in the background. The right side of the image is occupied by a dark blue translucent text overlay panel.

Warm oceans are home to bright coral reefs. Coral comes in many shapes and colours. There is brain coral, tube coral, and fan coral. Here is a phenomenal fact about coral. In the real world, coral are not plants at all. They are tiny living animals that grow together in big groups called reefs. Tropical fish love to hide among them.

An underwater ocean scene in Minecraft style, with deep blue water filling the frame. On the right side, a Guardian mob floats menacingly, its single large eye visible and orange spikes extended outward as it fires an orange laser beam across the scene. The Guardian looks threatening and powerful as it patrols the deep. Seagrass and kelp rise from the ocean floor, and a distant treeline is visible above the waterline in the background.

Not all ocean mobs are kind. Guardians patrol underwater temples, guarding them day and night. They shoot bright laser beams at any player who swims too close. Drowned are zombies that hide out of sight in the dark depths, far below. They lurk like phantoms, ready to attack a swimmer who ventures too far.

On the left side of the image, a green Minecraft-style turtle crawls out of the water onto a sandy beach, with a small yellow axolotl beside it on the sand. Both creatures appear calm and relaxed as they rest at the water's edge on the warm sand. In the background on the right, partially submerged in blue water, another turtle and axolotl can be seen swimming. The scene is set outdoors on a bright, sunny day along a sandy shoreline with stone and greenery in the background.

Some ocean mobs can leave the water for a short time. Turtles are amphibious creatures. They lay their eggs on sandy beaches, then head back to the sea. Axolotls are amphibians too. They can live out of water for a little while. Dolphins leap out of the waves as they swim, which is quite a sight. A turtle rests on the warm sand next to an axolotl, enjoying the sun.

Page 9
A vibrant underwater ocean scene viewed from above, with the right side showing a colourful coral reef teeming with bright pink, red, and purple corals growing on sandy blocks, while the left side shows the deeper open ocean in calm blue tones. Various sea creatures β€” small tropical fish, a squid, and a turtle β€” can be seen swimming among the coral on the right side of the image, depicting a reef that teems with life. The scene is set in clear, sunlit shallow waters with light filtering down from the surface.

The ocean is home to so many living things. Tropical fish, squid, turtles, dolphins, and coral all need clean water to live. When the ocean is healthy, all these creatures thrive together. A bustling reef is a true triumph of nature. Every tropical fish has a place to swim. Every coral has its own job to do. It all works as one big family.

Page 10
On the left side of the image, two Minecraft-style villager characters stand on a sandy beach looking out toward the ocean with concerned, determined expressions. They face the viewer at a three-quarter angle. One is taller and the other shorter, both standing together. They face a large body of blue ocean water that fills the right portion of the scene. The beach setting is bright and sunny with a clear sky, and scattered trash and litter β€” plastic blocks, discarded items β€” can be seen spread on the sand at their feet, reinforcing the theme of ocean pollution and the need to keep seas clean.

Our real oceans are in big danger. Plastic trash pollutes the water and hurts many sea animals. Warmer water bleaches and kills whole coral reefs. This is a slow catastrophe, and it is getting worse. Keeping the ocean clean and cool is one of the most important jobs we have. Our planet needs every one of us to help. Even small changes can save the sea.
