Marching Around for Rain Jolly Phonics · Group 7: ar /ar/
Practice Words
Bart is on a vast, parched plain. He grips his rod and sings up at the clouds. Rain, rain, rain!
Bart marches on the path and sings his song. A cloud drifts past him, but it is far, far up.
Thump, thump! Bart spins around. It is Dan, a big green pal. He grins and stomps up the trail.
Bart and Dan start a loud rain chant. Stomp, stomp! Clap, clap! Dan sings so loud that the shrub rocks!
Dark clouds rush in. Crack! A bolt hits the land. Drip, drop! The rain starts, and Bart shouts out.
Splash! The rain soaks Bart, but he is glad. Dan sings his carefree song. We did it, we did it!
