I Am the Best! UFLI Foundations Lesson 67
Practice Words
Roar! A big rex stomps from the thicket. 'I am the best dinosaur,' it yells. The rest blink and gaze from the plants.
The dinosaurs stand in a line, small to vast. A small human is at the end of the line. 'I admit it,' the rex says. 'Size is not all.'
Five small dinosaurs run past on the sand. They hunt as a pack at a rapid pace. 'A rex hunts by itself,' the rex says.
The rex gapes wide. 'Inspect my fangs,' it says. 'They are made to rip and cut. Fangs tell what a dinosaur has for lunch.'
Two long-neck dinosaurs walk on the vast land in the sun. 'Are we red?' one asks. 'We can not tell,' the rex admits, 'but I bet I am crimson red.'
'Classic dinosaur skin,' says the rex. But here is an odd fact. Lots of them have fluff, and some have wings. 'Am I like a chicken?' the rex yells.
A big dinosaur gazes at its two small tots in the plants. The tots grin up at it. The rex can not help itself. 'That is so cute,' it says.
A small dinosaur trots past on two legs, with its long tail stiff. 'Bones and prints tell us how we run,' says the rex. 'Each imprint is a hint.'
This dinosaur can rise up and grab plants with its big hands. 'What skill,' says the rex. Then it looks at its own small hands and changes the subject.
The rex grips a small thing in its hands. 'My hands are compact, but they are strong,' it says. 'They can grip and lift. Small is not bad!'
Three long-neck dinosaurs stand on the rocks and grin. 'Each fossil changes the facts,' says the big one. 'A lot is still hidden, Rex.' The rex blinks and blinks.
The rex stands tall in the sunlit land. 'I can not tell it all,' it admits. 'So dig, and ask, and do not stop!' Then it lets rip a big roar. Roar!
