Page 1
On the left side of the image, Jojo stands in the foreground facing the viewer at a three-quarter angle, holding a soccer ball under one arm and looking through a chain-link fence toward the field. He wears a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. In the middle-left, Fafa is on the field kicking a soccer ball in mid-air, with a focused expression, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. The scene is set outdoors on a sunny day at a suburban soccer field with patchy grass, a chain-link fence, and a city skyline faintly visible in the background. The right ~40% is plain sky/white background. Fafa is wearing a blue jersey and blue shorts, not red.

Jack pressed his nose to the chain-link fence and stared. On the other side, a kid in blue was juggling a ball. Knee, foot, knee, foot. The ball never hit the ground. Not once. That kid was no dropper. 'I can do that,' Jack whispered. He squeezed his own ball a little tighter. 'Probably.' This kid was fast. Really, really fast.

Page 2
On the right side of the image, Fafa is shown in the upper-right kicking a soccer ball with one leg extended, mouth open with an excited expression, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Below and slightly left of centre, Jojo stands facing upward at a three-quarter angle with a focused expression, chest puffed out as the soccer ball arrives at his chest, arms slightly back to receive it, wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. A dotted arc traces the ball's path from Fafa's kick down to Jojo. Both characters are shown in individual vignettes set on a grassy outdoor field, with the left side of the image left as plain white background.

Jack found a gap in the fence and squeezed in. He waved. The kid grinned, then whacked the ball high into the sky. It came down fast, and Jack puffed up his chest. Thud. The ball hit him hard in the ribs. 'Chest trap!' Jack grinned. 'Easy.' His ribs felt hotter than the sun. The kid just kept on smiling.

Page 3
On the left side of the image, Fafa dribbles a soccer ball with a focused, determined expression, running swiftly across a dirt soccer field, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Behind him and slightly to the right, Jojo chases after Fafa with a strained, hopeless look on his face, clearly struggling to keep up, wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. A soccer goal net is visible in the background, and the outdoor scene is set under a bright daytime sky. There is no number on Fafa's jersey.

They started to play, and the kid was fast. His feet were a blur. Jack was bigger, but the kid zipped past him like he was standing still. Jack's lungs burned. His legs wobbled. The kid did not even look tired. 'This is fine,' Jack panted. 'I am just getting set.' He was not winning this one.

Page 4
On the right side of the image, a sequence of three stacked comic-style panels shows a close-up of Fafa's feet in yellow cleats and blue shorts skilfully controlling a soccer ball on a grassy field, while Jojo's legs in red shorts with white stripes, white socks, and yellow shoes stand nearby watching. The top panel shows the ball between both characters' feet, the middle panel shows Fafa trapping the ball with one foot, and the bottom panel shows Fafa moving the ball to the other foot — depicting the fluid foot-to-foot ball control described in the text. The left ~40% of the image is plain white background, leaving space for text overlay. Fafa is wearing a blue shirt, not red.

Jack stopped chasing and just watched. The ball rolled from the kid's left foot to his right, then back. Tap, tap, tap. It stopped exactly where the kid wanted it, every single time. Jack's mouth fell open. Every move was a stunner. He had never seen a kid run the ball like that. Not ever. 'Fine,' Jack said quietly. 'Maybe he's a little bit good.'

Page 5
On the left side of the image, Fafa is running forward with the soccer ball at his feet, looking determined and focused as he dribbles past, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Just behind him, Jojo is chasing and reaching forward with a frustrated, determined expression, trying to tackle the ball away, wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. The two are on a dusty suburban soccer field with a chain-link fence and houses visible in the background under a clear blue sky.

'Rest!' Jack called out, hands on his knees. 'Time out! Please!' But the kid kept dribbling, dodging, dancing with the ball. He did not even look up at Jack. Jack lunged and reached out to steal the ball, but the kid was past him in a flash. 'Does this kid have an off switch?' Jack huffed. He was getting madder and madder by the second.

Page 6
In the lower-left of the image, Jojo and Fafa stand together on a patch of grass and dirt. Jojo has just kicked the soccer ball, which is flying away to the right along a dashed trajectory arc. Jojo stands with a surprised, open-mouthed expression, looking in the direction the ball is travelling, wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. Fafa is crouched slightly beside Jojo, leaning forward with an arm extended, watching the ball with a startled expression, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. The top half of the image is plain white background. Fafa has a blue shirt and blue shorts, not red. There should be no image on the top half of the page.

Jack swung his leg with everything he had. Crack! That was his biggest kick yet. The ball sailed over the kid's head and flew right off the grass. They both froze. 'Oops,' said Jack. The kid's eyes went wide. He spotted the ball rolling to the road and took off running after it.

Page 7
On the right side of the image, Fafa is bent over on the road reaching down to grab a soccer ball, head lowered and unaware of his surroundings, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Jojo stands further to the right at the roadside, one arm raised, calling out to Fafa with an alarmed expression, wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. A large bicycle wheel looms dramatically in the left-centre foreground, speeding toward Fafa, conveying imminent danger. The scene is set on a suburban road with a narrow grass curb separating the sidewalk from the street, under bright daylight.

The kid was a fast runner. He sprinted right into the road, head down, eyes on the ball. 'Stop!' Jack screamed. A bike was speeding right at him, getting closer and closer. Jack's breath caught. 'Stop! Come back!' But the kid did not look up. He reached for the ball like nothing in the world mattered. Jack's heart slammed in his chest. He ran.

Page 8
On the left side of the image, Jojo is lunging forward with a determined, brave expression, grabbing Fafa by the hand and pulling him off a suburban road onto the grassy curb. Jojo wears a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. Fafa looks surprised and grateful, holding a soccer ball under one arm as he is tugged to safety, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. The scene is set outdoors on a daytime suburban street with a paved road curving behind them and a grassy shoulder in the foreground. The right side of the image is plain light background.

Jack grabbed the kid's hand and pulled. They tumbled on the grass just as the bike whooshed past, so close Jack felt the wind on his face. For a moment, both of them lay still. Then the kid looked up, eyes huge and round, still clutching the ball. He squeezed Jack's hand. Twice. Jack squeezed back. He was the gladdest boy on the block.

Page 9
On the right side of the image, Jojo and Fafa sit together on a grassy hill beside a chain-link fence at a soccer field during golden-hour sunset. Fafa is seated facing at a three-quarter angle toward the viewer, turned to look at Jojo, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Jojo sits beside him leaning back, his head tilted upward with a tired, relieved expression, legs stretched out, wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. A soccer ball rests on the ground between them. The warm orange sky and soft clouds create a calm, end-of-day atmosphere. There is no number on Jojo's jersey.

They sat side by side on the hill by the fence, catching their breath. The sun was sinking low, turning the sky red and gold. Jack let out the longest breath of his life. His hands were still shaking a little. He had never been gladder to sit still. The kid gave Jack's arm a soft bump. Jack bumped him back. That felt just right.

Page 10
On the upper left, Fafa and Jojo sit on the ground facing each other on a patch of dirt. Fafa smiles and writes the name 'FAFA' in the dirt. 'FAFA' should be visible in the dirt in big letters. He has a soccer ball resting behind him, wearing blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Jojo sits across from him, leaning back slightly on his hands, looking at Fafa with interest, wearing a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. The right side of the image is plain white background. Fafa is wearing a blue shirt, not a red one.

[EDITOR_REGEN_REQUIREMENTS]
These editor requirements are mandatory and override any conflicting earlier wording:
- Redo the image without Fafa. just do double lines that represent words [painted-text 2026-08-14] Remove the painted name 'FAFA' written in the dirt when this page is regenerated — painted names bind every variant/language to one naming. Keep the writing-in-dirt gesture, make the marks illegible squiggles.

The kid drew his name in the dirt in big letters: BEN. Then he faced Jack and moved his hands fast, spelling his name with his fingers. Jack stared. And then it all made sense. Ben was not ignoring him. Ben was deaf. Not one shout had ever reached him. Jack made the same hand shapes, going slow. Ben laughed and gave him the biggest thumbs up.

Page 11
On the right side of the image, Jojo is crouching down on a patch of dirt, seen from a three-quarter angle, using his finger to spell out 'JOJO' in the ground. He wears a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. A soccer ball rests on the dirt nearby. Jojo has a focused posture as he carefully traces the letters, with a small smile forming. The scene is set outdoors in warm daylight with a soft, sandy-coloured ground. Fafa sits nearby watching Jojo write, wearing a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Fafa is wearing a blue shirt and blue shorts, not red, and there is no number on his shirt.

[EDITOR_REGEN_REQUIREMENTS]
These editor requirements are mandatory and override any conflicting earlier wording:
- Regenerate and create more negative space. Dont generate jojo - instead do 2 squigley lines [painted-text 2026-08-14] Remove the painted name 'JOJO' written in the dirt when this page is regenerated — same as p10. Keep the gesture, make the marks illegible squiggles.

Jack tried to spell out his own name with his hands, but his fingers got all mixed up. He tried again. They just flopped. 'Hang on,' he said, but he knew Ben was deaf. He bent down and traced his name in the dirt with his finger: JACK. Ben leaned over, read the name, and broke into the biggest smile Jack had ever seen.

Page 12
On the left side of the image, Jojo and Fafa are lying on their backs on a soccer field, gazing up at the sky with content, happy expressions. Jojo wears a red short-sleeve shirt, red shorts with white horizontal stripes, a dark reddish-brown baseball cap worn backwards, white socks, and yellow shoes. Fafa wears a blue short-sleeved soccer jersey, blue shorts, white socks, and yellow cleats. Two soccer balls rest on the ground near them. The scene is set outdoors on a suburban soccer field at sunset, with warm golden-pink light flooding the sky and goal nets visible in the background. The right side of the image opens into soft, hazy sky with no characters or detail. Fafa is wearing a blue jersey and shorts, not a red one, and has no number on his jersey.

They lay on the grass watching clouds drift across the golden sky. Two boys. Two balls. No words needed. Jack smiled to himself. He had come hoping to kick a ball with a pal. He had found a far better thing. He had not won one game. But he felt like a winner. Tomorrow, he would learn the sign for 'Rest!' first.
