In the lower half of the image, Kaa stands at a three-quarter angle facing the viewer in the centre of a vast, flat, dry landscape, holding his wooden walking cane in one hand, his other hand raised toward the sky as he sings, with a musical note floating near his head. He has an open-mouthed, hopeful expression as he calls out to the clouds. Faint footprints trail behind him across the dusty ground. Sparse dry scrub brush dots the barren terrain on either side. The top half is open sky with a few wispy clouds, conveying a sense of wide-open emptiness and solitude.

Kay sings from sunrise. He sings the same phrase to each dry scrub and each dusty rock on the plain. 'Send rain!' he calls, waving his cane at the sky. 'I can tell the clouds get me up there!' The sky is still. No boom, no drop. But Kay hikes on. Today feels lucky.

On the left side of the image, Kaa walks along a dry, dusty road, holding his wooden walking cane in his right hand while pointing his left hand up at the sky as he sings, with a musical note floating near his head. He has a joyful, open-mouthed expression, looking upward as if calling to the clouds. The outdoor scene shows a flat, arid landscape under a pale green sky with a few wispy white clouds and sparse dry brush along the roadside — the right side of the image is open sky and empty background.

Kay sings with more oomph. 'Come, clouds! Come to me, rain! Drip, drop, and splash!' He punches the sky with each line. One thin cloud drifts by. It will not come down. 'Not that way!' Kay yells. 'Come down here!' The cloud just drifts on. Phew, this is a hard trek!

On the left side of the image, Kaa stands at a three-quarter angle, holding his wooden walking cane in one hand, with a wide-eyed surprised expression as he spins around to look behind him. On the right side, Dino, a large bright lime-green stegosaurus with bold orange triangular plates along his back and lighter green oval spots on his body, stomps toward Kaa, mouth open in a cheerful grin, looking happy and excited. The scene is set outdoors on a flat, sandy path under a pale blue sky with a few wispy clouds. Small dust clouds rise near Dino's feet from the thumping steps. Musical notes float in the air near Kaa, suggesting he was singing before being interrupted.

Thump. Thump. Thump. Kay spins around fast. A big thing stomps down the trail. A big green thing with a grin, and a tail that can split a tree. 'Good day!' says the big happy beast. 'I am Max. That song came to me from over the hill. It is phenomenal! Can I sing it too?'

On the left side of the image, Dino stands with his mouth wide open, grinning joyfully and singing, with musical notes floating around him. Kaa walks alongside Dino in the foreground, stepping forward energetically with his wooden walking cane in one hand, his other arm raised, mouth open as he sings together with Dino. The scene is set outdoors on a flat, sandy landscape under a pale green sky with a few wispy clouds, with a small dry shrub visible in the mid-ground. The right side of the image is open background with just sand and sky.

'A pal to help me call the rain!' Kay grins so wide his hat tips back. 'Then sing, Max! Sing with big, big oomph!' And Max can sing! He is as loud as ten elephants. The ground shakes. The scrub shakes. They stomp and sway across the plain, and they chant the rain song. 'Give us the clouds! Give us the rain! Spill it all down on this dry plain!'

On the right side of the image, Kaa stands holding his wooden walking cane, his free hand raised high in celebration, looking up at the sky with a joyful, praising expression and mouth open in a shout of gratitude. Dino stands just behind Kaa, also gazing upward with wide, excited eyes and a big open-mouthed smile, bouncing on his stubby legs with excitement. Dark storm clouds roll in from above, with a bolt of lightning striking the dry, barren ground on the left. Rain begins to fall across the scene as the flat, arid landscape starts to receive the promised rain.

The sky flickers. Then it growls! Dark clouds pile in from all sides, morphing into one big black mass. A bolt splits the sky, and one fat raindrop lands right on Kay's nose. 'Max!' Kay yells. 'The rain is coming! The song did it!'

On the left side of the image, Kaa stands gripping the brim of his wide-brimmed explorer hat with one hand as he sways happily in the rain, a cheerful, contented expression with closed, happy eyes and a gentle open-mouthed smile on his face. His other hand rests on his walking cane, which is planted upright on the ground beside him. He wears his brown backpack with a blue bedroll and red neckerchief. Dino stands beside Kaa, mouth wide open shouting with glee, eyes closed in a joyful smile, with musical notes floating above his head. The outdoor scene is set against a grey, rainy sky with raindrops streaking down across the image, while the right side remains open background.

Rain gushes down. Phew, what a splash! Kay grips his hat and does a jig. Max sings so loud the clouds shake. 'We did it!' Kay yells, with raindrops on his chin. 'My song did it at last!' Max stomps in a big pool. Then Max has an epiphany. 'No, no! We both sang it!' They grin with glee and yell, 'We made it rain!'
