The rain ends at last, and the sun is out. Jen runs out and grins. The wind feels cool. It is a blue, blue day.
Jen looks up. Kites zip and zoom in the blue. But Jen just grins. The best is not up yet.
This is the blueprint. All bits must match, so Jen checks with a tool. A bit off, and it drops.
Snip, snip! Jen cuts thin sheets with a tool. Then she adds glue, and a bit too much glue.
Next is the string. It continues from room to room, on and on. Jen runs and jumps with it.
Jen is on the roof. A gust is the cue! It lifts the kite up, and the troll queen grins.
The kite dips and drops. But a gust rescues it, and it zooms up past the rest. Go, queen, go!
Up and up the kite zooms, up in the sunset hues. She is queen, and that is true.
