Zom has a pumpkin patch. He tends it, and the crop is perfect.
The pumpkins get thicker and thicker. Zom is glad. He plans to cook a lot.
A pumpkin is not in the patch! Zom checks the soil. Perhaps a monster has it!
Skel and Bones are good helpers. Bones checks the ground, but he can not spot a footprint.
Another pumpkin vanishes, and another! Zom is in a bad temper. He stamps and shouts.
After sunset, Zom and Skel chat under the lantern. Zom has a plan. He must wait in the patch.
Zom sits and waits in the patch. He slumps, and soon he drifts into a slumber.
Zom gets up. Just a pumpkin is left! He is in shock. Perhaps a monster has them all!
Skel perches next to the last pumpkin. Zom stands with him. This pumpkin must not vanish!
The pumpkin begins to spin, faster and faster! Bones jumps up. A thing pushes up from under the soil!
Pop! The pumpkin springs up. It has legs and a big grin. It is not a monster, it is Jack!
Jack gets a room with Zom and Skel. The pals grin and chat. This winter is the best ever!
