Jojo sees a boy playing by himself out on the football field. He is good. Jojo wants to be better. He wonders if the boy will play with him.
Jojo kicks the ball to the boy and he jumps up to hit it with his chest. You can't grab the ball with your hands in this game.
The boy is so swift! Jojo is taller than he is, but he finds it hard to keep up with him. He feels like he is so hopeless at football.
Jojo watches as he controls the ball with ease. The ball goes from foot to foot and stops where he wants it to.
Jojo calls out for a break, but the boy does not stop. Needless to say, Jojo keeps on trying to get the ball off him.
Just then, the boy throws a really hard kick, and the ball flies right off the field. Jojo watches to see where it will land.
The boy runs out into the road to get the ball. He is so reckless. Jojo calls to him, but he does not lift his head. He starts to wonder if the boy cannot hear.
Jojo takes the boy by the hand and pulls him off the road just as the bike is about to run into him.
Jojo is tired from all of the football and the stress of the bike. He is glad that his new friend is alright, though.
The boy points to his shirt to tell Jojo his name: Fafa. He signs his name as well. Jojo copies the hand movements.
Jojo does not know the signs for his own name. He feels a little helpless until he realises that he can spell his name in the dirt to show Fafa.
These two new friends are ready to head home. They watch the clouds for a little while first. Jojo cannot wait to learn more signs to share with Fafa.
