Page 1
A boy in blue tank top waves happily from a window with a cat and water buffalo while rain falls. A squirrel sleeps in a tree with pink leaves above.

It is a rainy day! What are we going to do with it? I want to head outside for a bit so that we can feel fresh and relax in the rain.

Page 2
Two scenes showing a boy and water buffalo playing in the rain. Top scene shows them standing in a puddle, bottom scene shows them splashing joyfully in rising floodwaters.

We can find puddles so that we can make a big splash! It is fun to jump up and down in puddles when it begins to rain.

Page 3
A happy boy runs through the rain near bamboo trees while his water buffalo friend sits in a puddle. Green frogs watch from lily pads.

We can go down to the pond and swim with the frogs. I take off my gumboots so that I can squelch my feet in the wet grass and the mud.

Aerial view of a boy riding on a water buffalo swimming in green water with colorful dragonflies and rain ripples all around them.

I can lay out and let the rain drip on me. It feels nice as the drops fall down on my skin. The world smells so crisp when it rains.

A boy holds a large green leaf as an umbrella over himself and his water buffalo friend in the rain. A chameleon watches nearby.

If it gets too crazy out there, we can find a spot to hide while it pelts down. We can grab a big leaf and walk while we are undercover.

A tired boy wipes his brow while surrounded by farm animals including a water buffalo, goat, rooster, and cat. The scene has warm pink and purple tones.

I make a hot drink to warm me up when I get home. I think they should have some too, on the basis that they are also cold. I tell them that coffee is not good for animals. That does not stop them trying though.

A boy reads an open book on the floor surrounded by his animal friends - water buffalo, goat, small buffalo calf, cat, and rooster - in a cozy barn setting.

The animals like to sit around while I read my book. I read out aloud so that they can hear my voice. They like the sound of it.

Page 8
A close-up of a boy laughing joyfully with his animal friends - a water buffalo, white goat, orange rooster, and gray cat - all appearing to sing or call out together.

It is fun to sing in the rain. I like how our singing sounds against the rain in the background. The rain is like a backing track.

Page 9
Two vertical panels showing a boy with his water buffalo and goat. Left panel shows him riding the buffalo, right panel shows him reaching up toward a pink butterfly.

We stay up late into the night as the storm keeps on. I share stories with my animals. They listen to me with keen ears.

Silhouettes of a boy, water buffalo, and cat against a vibrant red sunset sky with small footprint shapes floating in the air. A peaceful evening scene.

The sun is up! After all of that rain, it will be a great day for plants to drink in the sun and grow strong. Time to get to work.
