Two-syllable words divided between two consonants in a VC/CV pattern.
A farmer had three very selfish children. They were always doing bad things.
The farmer had a magic mirror. He warned his children not to play with it. 'Don't look in the mirror,' he said.
Of course, the selfish children did not do as they were told and looked into the magic mirror.
They were surprised by the ugly monsters staring back at them.
So they tried to change the way they looked in the mirror. The first boy put on his best, velvet jacket.
He was so surprised when the mirror still showed him as a troll.
Then his sister tried running past the mirror. But she still looked like a troll too.
The youngest boy tried smiling at the mirror. But still nothing changed.
They hid in their beds from the trolls in the magic mirror. Their father came in. 'To look good, you must be good,' he told them.
'Now look again in the mirror,' he said.
