Minecraft Ecology: Oceans

Ocean biomes spread over more than half of the world in Minecraft.

They link chunks of land. Islands jut up out of oceans as well.

Lukewarm oceans have a lot of kelp and sand. All sea mobs can spawn here.

Cold ocean biomes have gravel and dirt on the seabed. Some fish cannot spawn.

Frozen oceans have chunks of ice. Only salmon and squid live here.

Warm oceans have coral reefs. Coral are animals. They live in big groups.

Some mobs in the ocean will try to harm you or mobs.

Some can get out of the water for a while.

There are so many animals in our oceans. We must keep it in good health.

We need to keep our oceans clean and not let them warm up.
