Rin finds a pen in a desk. But an odd block is stuck to it.

She pulls the block off the pen. But now a cap sticks to the block!

Rin wants to try the block out on things. Will it stick to the cat? No.

Will it stick to the ruler? Yes. The block must like metal!

Oh no! Rin drops the pen and it rolls far. She can not get it back out.

Rin gets the metal ruler and sticks the black block on it. She puts the ruler next the pen, and the pen sticks to the block!

Rin is glad it worked! The block is a lot of help, and she asks her dad about it.

Her dad tells Rin that the block is a magnet. It sticks to most things made of metal!
